POLICE are investigating an attempted burglary at a Delabole playschool.

St Piran’s Playschool — in High Street, Delabole — sustained damage to its rear patio door, in which the suspect attempted to gain entry, overnight between Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23.

Mess was caused in the back garden of the playschool, and a sand pit was up-ended.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, or saw anything suspicious.

Alternatively, anyone with information can contact the playschool directly on 01840 214871, so that they can pass this onto the police.

A spokesperson for the playschool said: “Please could everyone be extra vigilant and keep an eye on what might be happening at playschool, and report any potential misconduct directly to the police if we are closed.”
