A TABLE which was taken in a burglary with several other items last September is to be returned to St Winwaloe Church, in Poundstock, after being spotted in an Essex auction house by local antiques dealer, Paul Fitzsimmons .

Churchwarden Graham Jones said: "Even though pictures and descriptions of the stolen furniture were widely distributed, we thought they had been lost forever. I was delighted to be told by Paul that he had spotted the Jacobean table."

The table has been officially recognised as the church's property, but it is yet to be decided on how the table can be returned. Currently, it is still in Essex.
