A SECOND person has come forward claiming a bus driver failed to drop them off at the correct stop.

Beryl Crook, of Berry Hill, said she had a similar experience to Flo Fussell, who told her story in last week's Review about walking a mile home after a bus driver allegedly 'ignored' her requests.

Beryl, 73, said she was travelling with her husband Ted, who has Alzheimer's, on the 30/31 when she rang the bell to get off at the YMCA at Berry Hill but was dropped off at the post office.

She said: "Although it wasn't that far away, we had an uphill walk back home and what was worse was the driver didn't even apologise when he dropped us off.

"Another passenger even rang the bell for us as the driver didn't respond to my request – I thought my bell wasn't working.

"It makes me wonder how many others has this happened to?"

Rupert Cox, managing director of Stagecoach West, commented: "These instances are few and far between; we're only aware of this happening once and we've sought to rectify it immediately by working with the passenger and driver.

"We're happy to report that this complaint has been resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

"We like to think the vast majority of our passengers are happy with our services, but if there are any further problems, we would like the public to tell us about it as soon as possible so that we can put it right immediately."
