IT MAY have been cold and wet, but nothing could deter the drivers in the 91st annual London to Land's End Trial on Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30.
The annual trial is a non-stop event from the east to the west with certain passages over hills that drivers must complete. In Holsworthy, participants have to go through Sutcombe Hill.
The roads between the observed hills may have become just the route to get to the next obstacle, but they tire out drivers, and spectators have often seen cars fail to get up hills that "they would normally be expected to overcome".
