LAUNCESTON Young Farmers Club held their annual dung run on Sunday, March 1, raising over £1,100 for their chosen charities for the year, the Farming Community Network and Penhaligon’s Friends.
Members met at Proper Ansome Cafe at Maunder and Sons Ltd on Scarne Industrial Estate before embarking on the runs.
Club chairman Nick Uglow was delighted with the day.
He said: “It went very well and we delivered just over 500 bags throughout the day.
“We met at 9am where we then split into different groups and headed off to areas such as Tregadillett, Lifton, North Hill, Egloskerry and even as far as Kilkhampton, before coming back for 1pm for a lovely roast dinner at Proper Ansome Cafe, who also made a generous donation to the charities.
“The final tally is just over £1,150, I’d like to thank everyone who bought bags of dung and for the club members for taking the time to support the event.”
