The gala concert to commence the 80th anniversary celebrations of Tintagel Orpheus Male Voice Choir recently at the Tintagel Methodist Church was an outstanding success raising some £590 for Sound Waves South West, a Bude-based charity relying totally on charitable
support. The charity provides Music Therapy to children in Cornwall and Devon, facilitating music workshops within schools and offering a free instrument loan scheme. The demand for such precious opportunities is continually increasing and the choir were pleased to support such a charity. Mrs Judith Gwynne, chairman of Sound Waves South West thanked the choir for their generous donation. Simon Sheridan, a music
therapist working for the charity played the guitar and some of his own composition on the piano during the concert.
