RICHARD Arnold of Richard's Animal Encounters, Splatt, ably assisted by Abigail Worleigh (ex St John Cadet), visited the Launceston St John Ambulance Cadets and Badgers on Tuesday April 21.
They brought along two barn owls and a selection of reptiles and small mammals. Richard gave a very informative talk to the Cadets and Badgers while Abigail took the animals for the children to see and handle if they wanted (not to mention the adults lurking at the back of hall!)
Launceston St John Ambulance are very grateful to Richard and Abigail for giving their time as everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and learnt a lot about wildlife. The evening also helped towards the children's Caring for Animals course, while also instilling in them a respect for wildlife.
