RNLI Angle's new inshore lifeboat was alerted last Thursday to assist the police in the search for a missing 24-year-old male, last seen in the Pembroke River area.

The lifeboat, Super G II, was launched shortly before 9 pm and reached the scene in 12 minutes. A search was made of the south side of the river up to Pembroke Castle and then back down towards the Power Station.

With no reported sightings and decreasing water depth, the lifeboat was released to return to her station, where she was rehoused at 10.35 pm. Meanwhile, the missing man was found safe and well ashore.
