THE Federation of Old Cornwall Societies' Summer Festival was hosted this year by the Bude, Stratton & District Old Cornwall Society for this, their 50th anniversary, held at the Parkhouse Centre Bude.

The Ivor Potter Hall was filled to capacity with members from the length and breadth of Cornwall for the formal proceedings who included Rev George Rowe, President of the Bude Society who welcomed Terry Knight and Ivor Corkell, President and Secretary respectively of the Federation; Mick Paynter, Grand Bard of Gorseth Kernow and Peter Moore, Bude and Stratton's Mayor, who all responded.
