MORRISONS staff in Bude have raised almost £2,000 for charity. Twenty-eight staff members took part in a two-day charity cycle challenge on August 22 and 23 in aid of the Sue Ryder charity. Morrisons had been tasked with a round the world cycle, split between stores in the South and South West. Each store had to cycle 322 miles. Bude staff cycled around 390 miles and raised about £1,940. Eighteen hours of cycling took place over the two days Staff member Neale Bodimeade said: "It was good and there was a good feeling although the exercise bike was a bit uncomfortable! "It was a bit competitive amongst the guys, especially the younger people." For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
