THE Party on the Pitch was, this year, blessed with good weather, with some people applying sun cream!

Around 800 to 900 people attended the event, which was held at Camelford Football Club grounds on Saturday, May 23.

The evening kicked off with music by local singer, Michelle Pluess who got the crowd singing and dancing, and she was followed by the Satin Dolls, and the main act, the UK Beach Boys.

Many took their own food and drink and one Camelford resident took his supplies in a wheelbarrow!

There was a good atmosphere, and the evening was rounded off with a fireworks finale.

Reg Hambly, event organiser, said: "It was a very good night. Everybody had a good evening and the sun shone on us."

The event will be held again in 2010, although the date has not yet been finalised.
