AN audience of family and friends were treated to a display of Arabic dance when Bodmin Dance Divas held their fifth birthday party at St Breward Village Hall. The dancers showed their skills with a variety of props, including a carpet sweeper and feather duster! A buffet was laid on for all and a raffle was held with the proceeds going to The Mermaid Centre. The Divas have supported the Mermaid Centre since their formation and have now raised more than £1,000 —on this occasion monies were raised with a dedication to Joan Brown, the mother of Ann Coker one of the founders of the Divas. If you would like to learn how to belly dance join the Divas on a Monday at 7.30pm at St Breward Village Hall.
