MOTORISTS and those in coastal areas are being warned as strong winds and heavy rain are forecast from later today (December 26).

There’s already more blustery, wetter weather in South East Cornwall this morning, and conditions across the UK will turn increasingly unsettled through today with Storm Bella moving in this evening.

An Amber weather warning for southern England has been issued from 10pm and overnight, with gusts of wind expected to exceed 60-70mph in exposed hill and coastal locations.

A Yellow warning for rain is also in place from 6pm, with a small chance of flood damage to homes and businesses, says the Met Office.

Flooding and spray on the roads will make for dangerous driving conditions.
