Although Lawrence House Museum’s building in Castle Street is closed for repairs, it has a lovely garden which needs care.

A few stalwart volunteers have been doing a wonderful job of keeping the garden in good repair but need to swell their numbers and are looking to recruit more green fingered folk to join them.

A spokesperson said: “Whether or not you own garden is already perfectly set up for this year, might you be able to spare some time to help out at Lawrence House in Castle Street.”

If anyone can help they are asked to contact the curator on 01566 773277.

Lawrence House Pop-Up Museum at the Merchant’s House, 13a High Street Launceston PL15 8ER is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.30am until 4.30pm with last entry at 4pm. It is still free to enter though it is hoped visitors will make generous donations when they visit as the museum depends on them for its existence.

The spokesperson added: “We shall soon be changing the current “Imagined Landscapes of Cornwall” so if you haven’t seen it yet, come soon — next up an exhibition about Launceston’s most unusual buildings with which we are surrounded.

“Don’t forget to visit our website www.lawrencehousemuseum.org or check out our Facebook page.”
