LANEAST Church has announced it will be hosting something ‘a little different’, encouraging all members of the community to come and explore the village’s cherished church, as well as enjoying the hospitality offered there, for a pet blessing service.
On Sunday, April 24, pets of all shapes, sizes and types are invited to attend the blessing. All that is asked is to provide some means of restraint, such as a lead or a cage, just in case the animals get excitable.
The church is welcoming everyone from the community — even those without pets — to enjoy a fun day out.
At 3pm, there will be a short service with fun hymns, followed by cream teas and cakes priced at just £3. The church is looking forward to seeing lots of friendly — and furry — faces at the blessing, and is hopeful that many will attend.
