Torridge residents can now find out who they can vote onto the borough council on Thursday, May 4 in the local elections, as the full list of the candidates is revealed.
The vast majority of Parish Council elections are uncontested – meaning that there is an equal or fewer number of candidates than there are vacancies, meaning those who stood for election to a Parish Council are elected without contest.
All current councillors will stand down and elections will be held to replace them.
Some councillors who have served their communities for the past four years are standing again. There are also new candidates seeking to join the Council, with some standing for a political party while others stand as an independent.
