JAZZ fans from all over the country flocked to Bude in their hundreds to witness one of the most successful jazz events held in the town.

From both jazz aficionados and musicians alike, the committee has received praise not only for staging the events, but also for the way it was organised and from the bands that appeared.

Some of the entertainment from the week included the fantastic Jeff Barnhart from the USA with his Bude Beach Bum Band, his Quartet and Ivory and Gold, The ever popular John Maddocks Jazzmen, the brilliant reeds player John Hallam, Laurie Chescoe's Reunion Band, Richard Leach's 7 Stars of Jazz and from the South West, the excellent Dart Valley Stompers, The Great Western Jazz Band and The Two Counties Jazz Band, to name but a few.
