IN the run up to the Easter holidays both staff and pupils at St Petroc’s School in Bude have been busy with a plethora of musical and sporting activities to see them right up to the end of term.

Students across Key Stage 1 and 2 have been busy preparing for Songfest 2016, a celebration of young Cornish vocal talent that includes a combined choir called Ocean Commotion, of which St Petroc’s pupils are a part.

The students have thoroughly enjoyed rehearsing their new repertoire with Mrs Cook and were excited ahead of Wednesday night’s performance at Launceston Town Hall.

Along with the Spring Concert last Friday, these two wonderful musical events will have rounded off the term on a perfect note!

In what has been a busy week for them, the U11 netball team left school on Wednesday, buzzing with excitement, ready for the ISA National Netball Championships in High Wycombe.

The girls warmed up with a game of ten-pin bowling and a sleepover in a youth hostel before playing their matches on Thursday, March 17.
