LAUNCESTON girl Alexandra Reeve has been selected as a finalist for the Miss Cornwall 2014 competition.
The competition is being held at the Cribbar, in Newquay, on Friday, April 4 and Alexandra (pictured right), 18, is hoping to win the title, prizes worth more than £1,000 and a place in the Miss England National final.
As Alexandra and her friends are regular clients at Banbury's Beauty Spa, in Launceston, owner Claire Banbury offered to sponsor her in the competition.
Claire is thrilled to be involved: "With Alex's lovely long lashes and natural shaped nails, it is always a pleasure having her as a client at the spa."
All Miss Cornwall contestants are actively encouraged by the organisers as part of the competition to prove they are 'Beauties with a Purpose', and help raise funds for disadvantaged children.
Alex's fund raising is well underway with collection boxes filling up fast.
A fun day is being held for her riding school clients, old and new, at St Leonards Equitation Centre, Polson, on March 29.
See http://www.facebook.com/st.leonards.centre">www.facebook.com/st.leonards.centre for more details.
All funds donated will be split between the two charities Beauty with a Purpose and CLIC Sargent.
To support Alexandra and vote for her in Miss Cornwall 2014, text MISS CORNWALL02 to 64343.
