BUDE scraped a desperate three points in this local evening derby with Lifton looking to do the league double over their opponents, writes Gary Hodgson.

An even first half created few clear chances for both sides, but Lifton playing five across the midfield gave Bude some problems in this area, Bude's trusty defending though kept the Lifton attack to long range strikes which never really troubled Bude's 'keeper and 'Supporters Player of the Year' Gary Dinshaw.

Bude saw a lot more of the ball in the second half, but the game was looking to be heading for a draw when substitute Alex Boardman was found by a Jason Ferrett corner and he headed in past the near post as Bude took the lead on 70 minutes.

Lifton never gave up looking for that equaliser with Bude having to stay switched on to earn a vital points at the final whistle.
