MOST people would think Aladdin is set in China, right? Wrong! In the St Teath version Widow Twankey finds herself touring Egypt with the Chinese State Circus . . . well, it is pantomime.

This version may not have had the professional polish of the big theatres but it proved why village panto is so popular, with as much laughter on stage as in the audience.

From experienced 'veteran', Bob Fox as the dame to five-year-old Sam Coleman as a ferocious mini-lion star of the 'Chinese State Circus' (on tour in Egypt), everyone in the cast contributed to the success of this production in the church hall.
