Flambards at Helston have generously donated a Fairey Gannet XG 831 to the Davidstow Airfield and Cornwall at War Museum. A new home was sought for the XG 831 and Flambards decided that the recently opened tri- service museum in North Cornwall was a suitable destination. With a long association with RNAS Culdrose it was felt desirable that XG 831 should stay in the county. It was on February 4 that the management at Flambards approved the move which needed to be completed within a month. Steve and Sheila Perry, who own and run the 'not for profit' museum, along with a band of dedicated volunteers, wasted no time in putting the movement plan into motion.
