THE Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) has been shortlisted for The Charity Awards 2009, the UK charity sector's most prestigious award scheme which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
Chosen from a long list of entries, the charity, which flies two helicopters seven days a week, responding to 999 calls right across Devon, has been shortlisted in the healthcare and medical research category.
The charity will find out if it is successful at the awards ceremony in London on June 11.
Doug Shopland, Devon Air Ambulance's chairman of trustees, said: "Being nominated for this award is a testimony to the hard work, commitment and innovative thinking by the trust's staff."
