Golden Manor are proud to announce that they have linked with Colley Smith Saffora Nursery School which is located in West Africa at Ndemban village, which lies on the south bank of the republic of the Gambia, Foni Berefet district, West Coast region, Brikama administrative area. It is 75 km from the capital city of Banjul. The community of this village depends mainly on farming and 95 per cent of the parents have difficulties in sponsoring their children's education.
Musa Colley is founder and CEO of Colley Smith Soffora Underprivileged Nursery School, which was founded on September 12, 2011. Musa Colley's partner Sarjo Sanyang has been beside him all along and Musa also has support from Mr. and Mrs. Sean and Delth Smith (who are based in Pembroke).
"By linking Golden Manor Nursery and Colley Smith Soffora Nursery School, we hope to improve cross cultural development of the two nurseries," said a spokesperson at Golden Manor. "We will be working at introducing a language exchange for the children, including a video of our circle time activities and celebrating special days together.
"We would also like to fundraise for Colley Smith Soffora Nursery School and would be very grateful for any toys, flash cards, children's books, stationery and other equipment or money you can donate in order to raise the money to send the equipment and resources to Africa. Your support in this event would be much appreciated."
