PRE-APPLICATION advice is being sought from Cornwall Council for the redevelopment of an existing educational centre and building of three dwellings at The Arthurian Centre, Slaughterbridge.
As part of the pre-application, advice is also being sought on forming an improved car park.
The existing site is used for educational purposes for archaeological excavations and historic education. It opened to the general public in 1997.
Documents submitted to the council state historically important activities have been identified on the site, including a 13th century village and an 18th century garden.
A report submitted to Cornwall Council reads: “The present owners now wish to upgrade the content and presentation to match the expectations of a public now used to interactive, multimedia experiences, and their increasing appetite for new discoveries and interpretations in history and archaeology.”
