ON Thursday, July 2 a collision took place outside Lydney Hospital involving two vehicles.

It was during a heavy rainstorm and resulted in one vehicle ending up on its side with the female driver inside.

The other vehicle had two adults and a small child inside.

My praise goes to the staff of Lydney Hospital who carried out a sterling role tending the injured, directing the traffic and helping in a time of need.
