AN A30 advance warning notice has been issued recently, regarding the reopening of Blisland Road — Four Winds junction, for Blisland and St Breward, and the temporary closure of Helland junction that started on Monday (November 21).
With the revised contraflow system now in place at the western end of the Temple roadworks, Helland junction is closed to all traffic.
The closure involves the left turn off-slip for eastbound A30 traffic, for Helland, and the left turn on-slip for the A30 eastbound to Launceston.
Advance warning signs advising drivers of the change, as well as diversion signs, will be in place. Motorists will be diverted off at the A38 Carminow Cross and to Callywith Gate.
The revised contraflow will enable major carriageway works to be completed between the old Trewardale junction, for Blisland and St Breward, and Penlan Garage. As a result of the carriageway works, the Trewardale junction with the A30, for Blisland and St Breward, will be closed.
However, the new improved temporary arrangement at the Four Winds junction, Blisland Road, will be open for all traffic requiring the Blisland and St Breward area. Following the opening of the Four Winds junction, it will be possible to turn right into and out of the junction with the A30.
It is expected these works will continue until the middle of January, provided works remain on schedule with the weather.
Kier have expressed their apologies for any inconvenience during these essential closures.
