NORTH Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson has welcomed the announcement that Cornwall Council's application to dual the A30 at Temple has been accepted for examination.
The Government announced on September 10 that the Planning Inspectorate, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, has let the application go forward.
North Cornwall's Liberal Democrat MP Dan Rogerson has worked with the local A30 Action Group and Cornwall Council in order to secure funding from the Coalition Government so that the long-awaited project could go ahead if it is granted planning permission.
In August, Cornwall Council's Cabinet gave its backing to the £60 million project.
People will be able to comment on the scheme, which would see the 2.8 miles of single carriageway between Temple and Higher Carblake upgraded to dual carriageway.
