RESTRICTIONS are now in place on the A30 between Temple and Higher Carblake.
Traffic will be prevented from making right turns at:
• Helland junction — to remain closed as a result of contraflow;
• Four Winds (north side) — ‘no right’ turn into or out of junction (south side will remain closed);
• Trethorne Lane — ‘no right’ turn into or out of junction;
• Temple Fishery layby — ‘no right’ turn into or out of junction;
• Temple Tor (also known as Temple Four Turnings) — north and south side of junction already closed to A30 traffic.
All restrictions will be reviewed regularly.
The main advisory diversion routes for A30 traffic are:
• Eastbound A30 traffic — continue east to Bolventor (Jamaica Inn) and return.
• Westbound A30 traffic — continue west to Bodmin off-slip and follow diversion signs and return.
For local traffic wishing to travel to or from the Bodmin area — advisory diversion routes are via Shell Woods or alternative if travelling on north-side of the A30 (Blisland side) — or via Fletcher’s Bridge or alternative if travelling on south-side of the A30 (Cardinham side).
Contractors Kier said the restrictions will not be implemented at the following minor junctions at this time, however these junctions will also be reviewed regularly should the need arise —Higher and Lower Carblake, Higher Colvannick and Pounds Conce (all full access into or out).
Kier said it apologised for the inconvenience these diversions may cause.
