ST GILES Lunch Club held its annual Christmas lunch on December 20, which was attended by 40 people.
A three course meal was served beginning with soup or prawn cocktail followed by a turkey roast and ended with Christmas pudding or fruit salad.
The meal was prepared by the cooks Wendy Bendell and Ingrid Palmer assisted by Shelley Vanstone, Tesco’s community champion. Tesco very kindly donated the Christmas pudding and fruit salad, which was very appreciated.
A very well laden raffle was held. The event was a good start to the festive season. Anyone who would like to join the club for lunch, held every month, contact Ken on 01566 779028, you will be most welcome.
