AN ENRAGED father from Kilkhampton confronted a dog owner for allowing his pet to foul on a children's play area in Bude, only to be criticised as "not being local".

James Marshall planned to take the opportunity of a clear dry Sunday to take his children to the nearby shipwreck play park on Crooklets Beach, in Bude.

However, Mr Marshall was upset to find that dog mess had been left on the grass in various spots around the climbing frames and other park equipment.
