HALLWORTHY'S Music in the Market event raised around £14,000 for local charities, and for the first time since its conception three years ago took place over two nights on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24.

The event, organised by Ricky Cobbledick, is held in the memory of Helena 'Els' Reynolds, who died from a rare heart condition in 2010, while in a changing cubicle in a St Columb Major store.

A cabaret style night was had on the Friday, with acts Johnny Cowling, Boscastle Buoys and impressionist Drew Cameron, known from Britain's Got Talent.
