A record crowd turned out to support Bradworthy's annual carnival on Saturday evening. The large number of entertaining floats and walking entries created a spectacular procession around the village, and the live music, street entertainers, fairground rides and numerous stalls in the square only added to the superb atmosphere. The evening started with live music from local acoustic group 'The Other Band' and street entertainment from Matt Pang who wowed the crowd on his unicycle. Cllr Anna Dart crowned this year's royalty, Queen Harriet Allin, and her attendants, Miley Stannard-Jacques and Megan Fry. Mark Bromell and Johnnie Furse once again had the task of commentating the evening. Dressed in full police outfits, they had the crowd roaring with laughter. Due to the large number of entries in this year's event, the procession actually caught up with itself.
