SHANTY singers, the Boscastle Buoys are continuing their charity efforts, with their latest endeavour raising more than £1,000 in memory of their friend. With their compelling repertoire of sea shanties and traditional Cornish songs, the team raised money for Cornwall Hospice Care in memory of a friend who died at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell. The Boscastle Buoys presented Cornwall Hospice Care with £1,000 on day two of this year's Royal Cornwall Show when they burst into impromptu song at the charity's stand to illustrate how they raise the money. David Pimm, one of the singers, said: "We sing at events all round North Cornwall and when we do we shake a bucket in support of Cornwall Hospice Care."
