THE Post Office is to open a modernised ‘main’ Post Office at Bude’s Crescent Post Office on Friday, March 18 at 1pm.
There will be three serving positions, two main, full-screened counters, which will be open Monday–Friday: 9am-5.30pm. There will also be an open-plan Post Office serving point alongside the retail counter, offering selected services Monday to Sunday: 7am–5.30pm.
This is an extra 27 hours and 30 minutes of Post Office service a week, including all-day Sunday and Saturday afternoon. The branch will also open significantly earlier.
The branch needs to close for a major refurbishment on Wednesday, March 9 at 1pm.
Adrian Skinner, Post Office area manager, said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in this area of Bude. We are confident this vibrant modern Post Office, at the heart of the community, will be popular.
The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office.
