A LAUNCESTON lady has reached the remarkable age of 105.

Maude Chapman (nee Bennett), known to many as Mary, celebrated her 105th birthday on Friday (January 14) with family and friends at Cedar Grange Care Home, Launceston.

Mary was born in 1906 and lived in Tintagel with her family. She had a younger brother and went to Tintagel Primary School. They lived at the bottom of a hill where there were three old cottages, her father bought one and turned it into a farm.
