A LOVELY summer's evening welcomed everyone attending Tintagel United Methodist Church's annual fete recently.
Held in the Chapel yard and car park, Miss Helen Hicks from Delabole performed the opening ceremony and was presented with a bouquet by Aiden and Keiran Tonkin.
There were a variety of stalls selling produce, cakes books and bric-a-brac.
Jenny and Stuart Patterson organised the ever popular pet show which saw animals of all kinds brought along by their owners.
In the schoolroom, refreshments were served throughout the evening as well as hot dogs and burgers.
Eve Langley guessed the correct number of gooseberries in a jam jar; Eve Stratton correctly named the teddy as Teddy Edward and Anna-Maria Gomez found the teddy bear on the treasure hunt game.
Marissa Turner won the ball throwing competition and in the 'High School Musical' fancy dress competition Hannah Slade (Sharpay) won the Under 8 Years class and Kathryn Turner (Taylor) and jointly Jessica Wadey (Taylor) and Sarah Wilson (Sharpay) won the Over 9 Years class.
Hans and Uli Knoll, visiting from Germany, were invited to judge the pet show and decided on: Friendliest Dog: 1, Henry, owned by Claire Collins; 2, Marley owned by Teigan Ainsworth; 3, Milly, owned by Jane Summers.
