A WOMAN who said she doesn't like heights and hates flying has taken part in a 15,000ft sky dive — the highest possible without oxygen.

Hayley Luxton, who works in Go Mobile in Launceston and who is studying for a law degree, took part in the sky dive at Dunkeswell in East Devon last month.

There was a 60-second freefall during the sky dive before the parachute deployed.

By taking part in the sky dive Hayley has raised more than £500 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of her best friend's father, Bryan Sanders, who died in 2012 at the age of 67.

Hayley said: "I wasn't aware of what motor neurone disease actually was when Bryan got diagnosed.

"I didn't know how quickly it can take over the body and how life-changing it is for everyone around him.

"I decided to do the sky dive as it was something a lot of people said they would never do! I thought — why not!"
