THE much anticipated 'Love Launceston' loyalty card scheme was launched to great fanfare in the Town Square on Friday, May 11.
Organisers and supporters of the project — introduced to help increase custom in the independent shops that make up Launceston's centre by offering selected discount offers — greeted residents of the town and surrounding area on a morning that could not have been more perfect for the launch.
The sun shone as Launceston Chamber of Commerce Deputy Chairman Paul Loft, Launceston Chamber of Commerce Chairman Jeremy Loft, Community Network Manager Mark O'Brien and Cornwall Councillors Alex Folkes and Phil Parsons explained the unique scheme, which incorporates 66 town businesses, to interested shoppers.
