Three trolleys full of food and toiletries were collected over the three day Operation Shoebox collection from Friday, April 9, to Sunday, April 11 at Tescos, Launceston. That is estimated to fill 100 shoe boxes which will be sent out to men and women on the front-line in Afghanistan. Local co-ordinator Kate Entwistle would like to thank all those who donated for their help, and to Tescos Launceston for their support with the collection. Kate said: "The response from the public has just been amazing it brought a tear to my eye seeing people's generosity." Kate hopes there will be more collections in the local region soon and is appealing for any companies out their who produce or sell long life food and toiletries to contact her if they can help in any way on [email protected]">[email protected].
