WINNERS of the Bude reindeer trail have been announced.

Bude Chamber of Commerce organised the competition for two weeks, incorporating late night shopping.

To be in for a chance to win in the prize draw, children had to find 35 hidden reindeer inside competing shops and in exchange for each reindeer they received a stamp and on completion were entered into the draw.

The prize draw consisted of three hampers made up of produce and gifts donated by the shops participating.

A spokesperson for the event said: "Good fun was had by all who took part, and the local traders all agreed was a great success, the idea, which started last year, was to get people moving around Bude shops often into shops they did not know even existed."

The winner was Lily Leighton, who celebrated doubly when hearing she had won on her eighth birthday.
