A DOG show with a difference was held at Tall Trees Arena recently, when two presentations were made, one to The Guide dogs for the Blind and one to the Cinnamon Trust.
At the same event, seven dogs and their owners earned the Bronze Good Dog award of the Launcells and Bude Dog Training and Agility group, these were: Ruth Reeves with Lottie, Bev Price with Mollie, Iris Newman with Dotty, Lavinia Archer with Ky, Emily Currie with Nelson, Jenny Oldham with Paddy and Alison Parmley with Pepper
Jack Russell, Dotty, showed us that no dog is too old to learn and at 12 years old she passed her Bronze award to the delight of her owner Iris Newman, Pepper the greyhound at the other end of the scale was under a year old. Michael and Kathleen Adams presented the cheque to the Cinnamon trust for £500 and Assistant trainers Kevin Colwill and Sandra Hawkett presented the Guide Dog cheque to Mr. Tony Webb and guide dog Gunner, for £2,000. Other funds raised by the charity giving dog group were £1,000 for shelter box.
The money was raised from a sponsored walk, and weekly training fees from the group's sessions at the Harlequinns Hall in Bude and St Clether.
