DENNIS and Irene Horwell, celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, with family and friends, at Trethorne Leisure Farm on Sunday, October 19.
The couple were married at Bethel Chapel on October 16 1954, in a ceremony officiated by the Rev P D Robert.
The couple spent their working lives farming at Tresparrett Post and Higher Pennycrocker Farm, and have now retired to live in Boscastle.
They have always been interested in horse racing and point-to-point, and with their younger son have trained, competed and won point-to-point races on Ross Fleece back in the early 1980s.
They have two sons, Trevor and Geoffrey, five grandchildren, Mark, Keri, Matthew, Martin and Kimberley and six great-grandchildren, Bella, Ebony, Zane, Jack, Aston and Evie.
