Rotarian Kim Kinvig is the treasurer of the Rotary Club of Launceston but this morning he is counting the money he raised for the Chestnut Appeal, the appeal to finance the research into prostate cancer. During the month of November, Kim had grown a moustache as part of the Movember Project which is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men's health issues, specifically prostate cancer. Kim's wife, Arnolda, thought that Kim was getting too 'attached' to his new fungus and mentioned this to another Rotarian. As a result Kim was 'volunteered' to shave off half of his moustache. He would only agree if sufficient monies were raised by passing the hat around at Monday evening's Ladies evening. Over £80 was raised, so well done Kim.
