SOUTH West Water in their planning application for the proposed sewage works at Fenterleigh Lane, Bossiney claimed there would be little visual impact. They took photographs showing the site from behind a hedge, saying 'look you can't see the site.' Have any of them walked along Bossiney Road?

The proposed sewage site is easily visible along its length between Trenale Lane and the Bossiney House Hotel. Residence along this length of road will have their view up the hill changed forever.

At the hotel a wonderful view of the proposed sewage site can be had from their ground floor guest rooms and it gets even better from the first floor rooms. Giving a whole new meaning to 'A Room with a View.'

The holiday park at Bossiney has the dubious pleasure of being higher than the proposed sewage site, every unit there will be able to see directly into it, no one will be denied this new tourist attraction.

Fenterleigh Farm and Thistledew overlook the site and the views from these listed buildings will be marred forever. There are records about Fenterleigh Farm dating from the 1300s. Isn't it sad that SWW will be able to put a sewage works on its doorstep? (photographs available).
