OPPOSITION against a proposal for a wind farm, named Cizero, in Kilkhampton has been generated following a public consultation.
Plans to create four 800KW wind turbines, measuring 84 metres to tip, at its highest point, were displayed in the Grenville Rooms, Kilkhampton, on Wednesday, December 14.
Representatives from Green Cat Renewables, the Scottish based renewable energy firm, and other companies involved, such as Windfarms Ltd and Matthews Pallandt Consultancy Services, attended the exhibition to answer any questions.
A number of issues were raised at the event, which were confirmed by Geoffrey Williams of Cierzo, who described it as a "very useful event."
"The majority of people who I spoke to, around 15 to 20, had concerns about the development, with just three or four who were in favour," he said. "There was quite a large amount of people who attended."
Of the problems, Geoffrey explained, was the visual aspect of the turbines, with even people from as far away as Hartland disapproving.
