POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision on the A30 near Launceston in Cornwall which left two people injured.

Emergency services were called at 11.30pm on Friday, February 11, after the collision involving a blue Mini Cooper on the eastbound carriageway at Plusha junction.

The male driver sustained serious life-changing injuries and the female passenger was also injured. Both people, in their 20s and local to the Launceston area, were taken to Derriford Hospital.

Officers from local response and the specialist Roads Policing Team attended alongside South West Ambulance and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Services.

The road was closed for several hours for officers to carry out a forensic examination of the scene and for the car to be recovered.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and appealing for any witnesses to contact them via [email protected] or by telephone on 101, quoting log number 911 of 11/02/22.

Officers would be particularly interested in any relevant dashcam footage and speaking to any driver who was travelling in the opposite direction at the time of the incident.
