POLICE were informed of a collision on the B3266 between Sir James Smith’s School and Atlantic Motors near Camelford involving two tractors last Wednesday (February 27) afternoon.
The collision involved two tractors, one of which was pulling a muck spreader containing a substantial amount of slurry. The vehicle landed on its side and the contents began to leak down the road.
Both drivers were able to exit their respective vehicles; one driver was taken to hospital with shock.
Localised closures were put into place, and fire, police and highways were in attendance. The Environment Agency were also informed in relation to managing the impact of the slurry.
Local residents and motorists were advised to avoid the area and keep their windows closed. The road was cleared and re-opened by 7.30pm.
