CAMELFORD Town Council working in conjunction with FLEET recently held a training session for locals in how to use a defibrillator.
Camelford Town Council recently purchased a second defibrillator, which has been positioned outside Camelford Hall in Clease car park. Several enquiries were made regarding how to use one, so deputy clerk Amanda Lash organised with FLEET founder and general manager Norman Trebilcock to put on a training session.
Twenty people attended the very informative evening. Camelford mayor, Cllr Kirsty Ferguson, was surprised how easy the machine was to use. She said: “I had previously heard that the defibrillator machine spoke to you with instructions, but it’s not until you actually hear it working that you realise how concise and informative they are. I won’t have any worries or concerns in using one if the situation ever arose.”
Organisers have extended thanks to Norman for such a fun and informative session.
