A vehicle has "completely destroyed" a shop front in Port Isaac after it caught fire this weekend.
On Sunday, February 26, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received several reports of an incident involving a car on fire. However, following further calls it was understood that the fire had spread and now involved a shop.
While a resource was initially mobilised from Delabole, further assistance was provided by appliances from both Bodmin and Wadebridge.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reel jets to extinguish the premises and the vehicle.
“The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and a proportion of the shop front was damaged by heat and fire.”
Footage and pictures of the scene show the extent of the damage caused, with the front of the premises taking the brunt of the damage.
